A great drummer demonstrates impeccable timekeeping, rhythm and coordination, an understanding of drum patterns and fills, and mastery of essential techniques. In addition, they exhibit musicality, adaptability, passion, drive, and a unique playing style.
I have been playing drums & percussion for over 40 years working with many different musicians in a variety of settings. From an outdoor concert, to an indoor church service, and everything in between, I tailor my playing to the situation at hand combining knowledge of music, listening to other musicians, and feeling the vibe of the room to keep the time and set the groove. Whether I’m using hand percussion with a solo artist, a drum set with a band, or both with a large choral group, I enhance the music being made with a stable foundation that others can stand and build upon.
